Dear Sir:

Arizona Public Service Company (APS),

as Project Manager of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units (PVNGS), is enclosing "herewith three originals and nineteen copi:es of its Application for Amendment to Construction Permits Nos.

CPPR-141, CPPR-142 and CPPR-143, dated October 12, 1982.

The enclosed Application seeks (1) the extension of the latest date for completion of construction of Palo Verde Unit 1 from November 1, 1982, to August 31, 1983, and (2) the deletion of the M-S-R Public Power Agency as an applicant from the captions of Construction Permits Nos.

CPPR-141, CPPR-142 and CPPR-143.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 5170.22, APS is submitting herewith the filing fee associated with a Class II amendment.

Enclosed is an APS check in the total amount of 53,200 of such fee.

This amount is based on a fee of (1) 41,200 for extension of the completion date for Palo Verde Unit 1 in CPPR-'141 and (2) 41,200 for the deletion of M-S-R as an applicant in + ~ g QO'PPR-141 and 4800 for the deletion of M-S-R as an applicant in CPPR-142 g and CPPR-143.

This letter is also to inform you that effective September 10,

1982, and pursuant to Amendment No.

4 to Construction Permits Nos.
