SUBJECT:

SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON APPLICANT'S EMERGENCY PLAN FOR PALO VERDE A meeting was held on March 9, 1982 in Bethesda, Maryland,-~t the applicant's

request, to discuss emergency planning.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the status of updating the Palo Verde Emergency Plan to incorporate the <;ormitments made by the applicant to correct noted deficiencies.

Both the commitments and the deficiencies are discussed in Appendix C to Supplement N'o.

1 to the Palo Verde SER {NUREG-0857).

The meeting attendees include'd L. Brown of Arizona Public Service, and J. Sears and E. Licitra of the NRC staff.

The applicant presented the status of effort for each of its commitments.

Most of. the required actions will be incorporated into the next revi ~ion

- {No. 2) to the Palo Verde Emergency Plan, which is tentatively scheduled for submittal on. March 31, 1982.

The "remaining items will be addressed in a subsequent revision targeted for around July 1982.
