We have reviewed the. draft environmental, impact statement for the operation of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3 in Maricopa County, Arizona, and provide the following comment.
1.
Section 5.8.4 on page 5-14 mentions an upgraded highway system from the'hoenix area.
This discussion needs to indicate whether this is a reference'o the existing highway system or a new highway facility.

The" EXS text'n pages'-38'nd 39",needs to state. whether the highway system has been'valuated'or its adequacy in accommo-dating an emergency evacuation of the area.
