Post-TMI Requirements for the Emergency Operations Facility (Generic Letter No. 81-10)
Reference:
Letter from D. G. Eisenhut, NRC, to ALL Licensees of Operating Plants and Holders of Construction Permits dated February 18, 1981
Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
The clarification enclosed with the referenced letter states the follow-ing implementation dates for operating license a'pplications regarding upgraded emergency facilities:
1.
"For operating license applications, such (conceptual) design information should be provided in connection with the OL review process."
2.
"For OL expected to be issued after October 1, 1982, the upgraded facilities shall be operational prior to receiving an operating license."
Arizona Public Service Company, Project Manager and Operating Agent for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating STation, confirms that these implementation dates will be met.
