Dear Mr. Miraglia:

As you are aware, the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Final Safety Analysis Report (Section 1.8) lists conformance of.plant design with the guidelines presented in the NRC Regulatory Guides.

The possibility exists, during review of our FSAR, of being requested to upgrade the plant to a different Regulatory Guide or revision than listed in FSAR Section 1.8.

In this regard, please provide us with the present NRC Regulatory Guide implementation schedule as it applies to nuclear power plants in the same stage of OL review as PVNGS.

Also, if any categorization of Regulatory Guides exist, such as those which used to be developed by the Regulatory Requirements Review Committee, we would appreciate a copy.
