FINAL REPORT REPORTABLE DEFICIENCY 50.55(e)

ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY (APS)

PVNGS UNIT 82 1

I. Descri tion of Deficienc The referenced drawing for the Fuel Building specifies three (3) f/10 additional rebar reinforcement below the beam at Elevation 167'-6" on the south exterior wall, between column lines FA and FD. These additional rebar were not included in Placement 2F025 T.O.C., Elevation 167'-6". A review of this deficiency indicates that it is an isolated case attributed to oversight.

II. Anal sis of Safet 'Im lication This condition is considered reportable since if left uncor-rected, the wall could possibly experience localized over-

.stressing under seismic conditions; however, an analysis was not performed since the condition was being corrected to a level equivalent to the original design.

III. Corrective'Action The required additional rebar were installed above the original location within the next placement -and properly anchored by extending into the west wall and by development length beyond the required point at the east end on. the south wall. This repair disposition for the referenced NCR. provides a condition which meets the project design requirements. The dispositioned NCR C-F-2339, attached, includes a repair sketch for installing the additional rebar.

Since this is an isolated case, additional corrective action to prevent recurrence is not required.
