Descri tion of Deficienc A lack of protection exists for the'ontainment gas analysis system pump in the event of an inadvertent closure of the outlet valve with the pump running.
Comsip, Incorporated has reported this condition under the requirements of 10CFR21.
See attached letter from Comsip, Incorporated to Bechtel Power Corporation, dated April 24, 1980.
II Anal sis of Safet Im lications This condition is considered reportable since it acknowledges the deficiency described in the 10CPR Part 21 filed by Comsip, Incorporated.
III Corrective Action Units containing the deficiency have been shipped to the PVNGS jobsite.
Bechtel has initiated contact with Comsip to obtain the modification kit 'details and modification instructions.
Upon receipt of these data, Bechtel willmodify the units at the construction site in accordance with established field change procedures (Design Change Package).
