This is in response to your letter of December 6, 1978, in which you expressed concern for the accuracy and completeness of information submitted to NRC by licensees and applicants.
I have reviewed the specific items addressed in your letter with the Executive Vice President of Operations, the Vice President of Nuclear
- Projects, and the !tanager of guality Assurance.
The results of this review clearly confirm that Arizona Public Service Company has adequate policies and procedures to assure the accuracy and completeness of our responses to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
These policies and procedures are integral to our guality Assurance Program which, in turn, provides APS with essential management controls of our activities.
I welcome this opportuni ty to emphasize to you that the responsible officers and managers of Arizona Public Service Company have my full cooperation, support and involvement in our efforts to assure that the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station is designed, constructed and op-erated with the health and safety of the public foremost in our minds.
