The Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute conducts a course at their Emmitsburg facility on the Federal Radiological Emergency
Response
Plan (FRERP).
This has recently evolved into a workshop and has been approved for its first field delivery in
- Seattle, Washington during the week of October 24, 1988.
FEMA Region X has asked us to extend to you an invitation to attend this workshop.
The FRERP presentation will take place on Monday, October 24, through midafternoon on Wednesday, October 26.
A copy of the workshop course agenda is enclosed for your information.
Please note that the Wednesday activity is a Tabletop Seminar.
We would recommend that your attendance at this workshop include management representation from the emergency response organization.
NRC Region V and a representative(s) from our Headquarters will be participating in this workshop.
FEMA Region X has informed us that an invitation will be extended to the States involved in your emergency preparedness program.
FEMA Region IX and its RAC members have been invited to attend also.
FEMA Region X has asked that we assemble the names of attendees from our invited utilities.
Please provide Mr. Ray Fish of my staff with the names of persons you expect to send to this workshop.
We will need to receive this information by September 2, 1988.
We appreciate that this is short notice and there may be a need at a later date to make substitutions in the list of persons you provide initially.
