and to the discussion
of our findings
held by Ms.
Good with Mr. A.
L. Oxsen
and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas
examined during this inspection
are described
in the enclosed
inspection
report.
Within these
areas,
the inspection consisted of
selective'xaminations
of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with
personnel,
and observations
by the inspectors.
No deficiencies
or violations of NRC requirements
were identified within the
scope of this inspection.
The attached
inspection report documents
a number of radiation safety problems
in the
OSC that were observed
during your September
13,
1988 emergency
preparedness
exercise.
Due to the increased
importance of radiation safety
during an emergency
and the number of problems identified,
we request that you
advise
us of the corrective action you intend to take to assure
that radiation
safety
can
be maintained in the
OSC in the event of an emergency.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy'f this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
