This letter is to acknowledge receipt of your June 16, 1988 transmittal in which you furnished us with the objectives and limitations for the WNP-2 1988 Annual Emergency Exercise.
During our review of your objectives and limitations, Ms. Gail Good, of my staff, identified a number of questions/comments that required contact with some of your staff members.
The results of our review were discussed with Messrs.
R. A. Chitwood and R.
D. Mogle, during a telephone conversation on June 30, 1988.
During a subsequent call on July 11, 1988, Mr. Chitwood and Mr. Mogle informed Ms.
Good that several new objectives would be added in response to the previous discussion.
The new objectives are intended to outline specific onsite emergency response expectations (i.e., event declaration, accident mitigation, notifications) in greater detail.
The remaining questions/comments were either clarified or resolved in a satisfactory manner.
k FEMA, Region X, was contacted during our review.
FEMA stated that they had reviewed your submission and had two coments that needed to be forwarded to the Supply System.
These two comments were provided to Messrs.
Chitwood and Mogle during the July 11, 1988 telephone conversation.
It is our understanding that one of these comments had already been resolved and the other will be resolved by discuss'ion with FEMA and agreed to changes made.
Based on the results of our discussions and the actions planned by your staff, we find your exercise objectives and limitations to be appropriate.
