of findings held by the
inspector with Mr. J.
Baker and other members of the Supply System's staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas
examined during this inspection
are described
in the enclosed
inspection
report.
Within these
areas,
the inspection consisted of selective
examinations
of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with
personnel
and observations
by the inspector.
During this inspection period two events
were noted which indicated
a need for
additional attention to surveillance testing activities.
These
events
involved (1) failure to note
an out-of-specification voltage
on a safety
related battery charger during a surveillance test
and (2) erroneous
operation
of a main steam safety/relief valve due to improper installation of test
equipment.
Please
inform us within 30 days of the actions you will take to
provide additional staff attention to the proper performance of surveillance
testing activities.
No violations of NRC requirements
were identified within the scope of this
inspection.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
The responses
directed
by this letter and the accompanying
Notice are not
subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget as
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980,
