SUBJECT:
WNP-2 EMERGENCY PLAN, REVISION 5, DATED MARCH 20, 1986 The subject Revision 5 of the WNP-2 Emergency Plan was submitted under cover letter dated March 20, 1986.
Enclosure (2) to this memorandum is a detailed review of the changes submitted in Revision 5, and Enclosure (1) provides an analysis of the significant changes noted.
The analysis primarily addressed omissions and inconsistencies in the revision.
One change in particular, a provision which would allow a greater time limit for offsite notification than that presently allowed by Federal regulations, was discussed with the licensee.
The licensee agreed to change this provision and revert back to the original 15-minute notification.
Other items in the analysis were discussed by telephone with the licensee and the results are noted on Enclosure (1).
The licensee is being notified by letter that the changes meet the provisions of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix E.
