SUBJECT:
AMENDMENTTO FACILITYOPERATING LICENSE NPF-21, WPPSS NUCLEAR PROJECT NO.2 During their regular meeting of March 20,1986, the Washington State Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council reviewed and adopted a motion indicating that the Council had no comments on the Washington Public Power Supply System's request, by letter dated January 17,1986, to amend the Operating License for Nuclear Project No. 2.
The Supply System's request involved a change to the surveillance requirements under technical 'specification 0.6.1.2.d, and an exemption from a provision of Appendix J to CFR Part 50 Section III.D, to allow for postponement of the WNP-2 drywell head "0" ring type B test until the reactor is shutdown for the first refueling outage.
That outage is now scheduled to begin on April 1, 1986, and the plant willcomplete the leak rate test during the refueling outage.
The Council was notified of the proposed amendment request by the Supply System in accordance with the notification requirements of 10 CFR 50.91.
