The reference letters stated that the Supply System has contracted with Chemical Nuclear System, Inc. to process wet, solid radioactive waste and that the preoperational test for waste concentrators, PT 33.0-B, will be suspended indefinitely.
The portable system to be used at WNP-2 is described in FSAR Amendment No. 33 and as stated in the SSER84, has been approved by the NRC staff through review and acceptance of chemical Nuclear Topical Report CNSI-2 4313-01354-01).
The staff agrees with the Supply System's position of indefinitely suspending the preoperational test PT 33-0-B.
Prior to placing the permanent system into operation, PT 33-0-B must be completed.
