MPPSS Nuclear Project Ho. 2 Revised Design And Construction Program In the Safety Evaluation Repor t for the Hanford Ho.

2 (WHP-2) Nuclear Power Plant issued on September 22, 1972, in connection with our con-struction permit review, the NRC concluded that based on the guality Assurance program defined in the PSAR for the Hanford Ho.

2 prospect, the overall gA Program satisfied Appendix 8 to 10 CFR Part 50 and was accep-table.

We also concluded that the applicant, his contractors, and consultants were collectively technically qualified to design and con-struct the plant.

On March ~, 1%1, a press rele'ase indicated that WPPSS has replaced Burns end Roe with Bechtel Power Corporation as the Construction Manager r WNP-2, effective June 1,'1981.

Me requested WPPSS on March 18, 1981 to submit 0A Program changes 'for the WHP-2 facility.

We have reviewed the revised 'g'uality Assurrance Program and conclude that this revised gA program description for the design and construction of HNP-2 is acceptable and th'at the applicant, his contractors (including Bechtel Power Corporation) an'd consultants are qualified to complete the construction of the plant.
