Request for Submittal of gA Program Changes for ity We have been informed that you issued a press release on March 6, 1981, indicating that WPPSS has replaced Burns 8
Roe with the Bechtel Pokier
~ Corporation as the Construction Manager for WNP-2, effective June 1, 1981.
This action will necessitate significant changes to the gA Program for WNP-2.
It is also our understanding that as a result of recent management/organiza-tional changes by WPPSS and quality assurance problems identified by IE:RV at the construction site for WV'2 in two letters dated May 18, 1980, other
.changes to the WNP-2 gA Program have been made or are planned.
Accordingly, to assure us that the revised gA program r eoains in conformance with Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, submit a description of the revised program, including a description of Bechtel's gA program for the construction manager activities.
To assure completion of the staff review and approval by the June 1,
1981 date when Bechtel will assume its responsibilities submit the necessary documentation no later than April 10, 1981.
