Dear Mr. Duncan:

This is in reference to a letter from Mr. Sheldon Meyers of DOE to Senator

Magnuson, dated March 14,

1980, regarding allegations from Hr.

Rober t Brown.

We addressed Mr. Brown's September 19, 1979 letter in our letter of February 29, 1980 to you (Enclosure 1).

We have completed our investigation and have enclosed a copy of our response to Senator Magnuson (Enclosure 2).

It was learned during the investigation that certain of Mr. Brown's allegations dealt with the question of costs at the Hanford Reservation which is under DOE s jurisdiction.

In Enclosures 3 and 4, Mr. Brown's September 19, 1979 and January 29, 1980 letters, we have circled those items Mr. Brown indicated did not deal with the WPPSS Nuclear Plant, but the Hanford Reservation.
