Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530 Security Barrier Enhancement Project Testing On behalf of Arizona Public Service Company (APS), PVNGS would like to extend an invitation to Mr. Blaine Murray, Region IV Plant Support Branch Chief, Inspector Bruce
- Earnest, Region IV, Mr. Lemoine J.
Cunningham, Nuclear Reactor Regulations Safeguards Branch Chief, Mr. David Orrik and Mr. Eugene McPeek of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulations Safeguards Branch to attend the final testing phase of the Security Barrier Enhancement Project.
Extensive preliminary testing has been completed and modifications made to the design of the barriers which PVNGS believes will significantly enhance our Design Basis Threat (DBT) program. Final phase testing of the current design is expected to document results necessary to produce a fullyfunctional barrier.
PVNGS engineers and management will be present for the testing, as well as consultants from the Luke Air Force Base Explosives Ordinance Disposal(EOD) squadron who will assist in conducting this phase of tests as they have done throughout the project.
Testing will begin at approximately 1000 hours0.0116 days <br />0.278 hours <br />0.00165 weeks <br />3.805e-4 months <br /> and is expected to be completed no later than 1500 hours0.0174 days <br />0.417 hours <br />0.00248 weeks <br />5.7075e-4 months <br /> on June 20, 1997. The testing will be held at the Barry M.
Goldwater Bombing Range which is located just south of Gila Bend, Arizona;
