SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-244/97-07
Dear Dr. Mecredy:
This letter transmits the results of an inspection of your conversion to Improved Technical
Specifications conducted
at the Ginna Nuclear Power Plant from April 14 through May 1,
1997. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed
with Mr. J. Widay
and others of your staff.
The inspector concluded
that the facility had done a good job of converting from the
current Technical Specifications to the Improved Technical Specifications in accordance
with the NRC Safety Evaluatiori Report and that subsequent
changes
were accomplished
in
accordance
with appropriate controls.
Some minor oversights were identified as discussed
in the enclosed report.
