716 771-3588 MONTH A ril 1996 The unit was shutdown on April 1, 1996 for refueling and Steam Generator Replacement.

A full core off load to the spent fuel pool was performed during the first week of the outage.

The containment dome was opened to allow access to the Steam Generators.

The old Steam Generators were removed intact following cutting of Reactor Coolant System, Main Steam, and Feedwater piping.

New Steam Generators have been lowered into position and reattachment to piping systems is in progress.

Closure of containment is also in progress.
