Dear Mr. Johnson:
As a result of several teleconference calls.(Refs.
(a) and (b))
related to the proposed resolution of Generic Letter 87-02, Supplement 1 for Ginna Station (Ref. (c)), the NRC requested that RG&E provide further clarification with respect to the implementation guidance sections of the Generic Implementation Procedure, Revision 2,
as corrected on February 14, 1992 (GIP-2).
Consequently, RG&E commits to the use of the entire GIP-2, including the clarifications, interpretations, and exceptions identified in SSER-2.
This includes both the implementation guidance and commitment sections of the GIP-2.
Any deviations from the implementation guidance sections will be evaluated in accordance with Part I, Section 1.3 of the GIP-2.
