Enclosed please find two copies of the 1992 Ginna Emergency."
Exercise scope and objectives, including the scenario timeline, and preliminary description of radiological and meteorological aspects.
We have developed the plant operational parameters using the Ginna simulator, and will use the simulator in a "real time" mode during the Exercise on October 8,
1992.
A complete scenario manual containing scenario controller messages and technical data will be available in the event of a
simulator malfunction during the Exercise.
We will submit the entire scenario package at the time of our 65-day submittal.
Please also note that we intend to conduct an unannounced, offhours mustering drill during the week of November 9, 1992.
The drill is intended to demonstrate timely activation of our Technical Support Center and Emergency Operations Facility. We anticipate the need to discuss aspects of this drill with your staff to ensure that the "extent of play" is appropriate.
Your comments on the scope, objectives and scenario timeline would be appreciated by Jul 1
1992 for timely resolution before the final Exercise package is completed.
