GINNA INSPECTION 92-10
This letter transmits the July 21 to September 8, 1992 inspection findings of Messrs. T. Moslak
and E. Knutson at the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant.
At the end of the inspection, Mr. T.
Moslak ofmy staff summarized the findings with Mr. J. Widay and other members of your staff.
Our inspection found certain shortcomings
associated
with the establishment of individual
accountability concerning auxiliary operator watchstanding.
In light of recent industry events,
your continuing efforts to formalize the scope of auxiliary operator responsibilities
and to
establish an effective monitoring program will be examined in a future inspection.
No response to this letter is required.
