Dear Nr. Johnson:
In a letter dated November 20, 1990, concerning NRC Generic Letter 89;08, RG&E committed to completing the procedures for process and administrative controls by 1/31/91.
This letter is to inform you that all the procedures and specifications have been completed for implementation of the formalized Erosion/
Corrosion program.
The following have been prepared and approved:
a)
RG&E Corporate Engineering Procedure, QE-333, "Erosion/Corrosion Control Monitoring Program for Carbon Steel Piping".
b)
Materials Engineering and Inspection Services Procedure, QMEIS-913 "MEIS Implementation of Erosion/Corrosion Procedure".
c)
Ginna Maintenance Procedure, M-1001 "Ginna Maintenance Department Erosion/Corrosion Program Requirements".
d)
Engineering Technical Specifications NE-295 and NE-299 for Erosion/Corrosion repair/replacement.
e)
Existing Plant Procedures A-304 and A-305 have been revised by Technical Engineering to implement the requirements of Erosion/Corrosion.
An Erosion/Corrosion Integrated Program Plan document has been prepared, and serves as the umbrella mechanism for administering of all the pertinent procedures and specifications.
