12 through July 16,
1990, inspection findings of Messrs.
C. Marschall
and
N. Perry at the
R.
E. Ginna Nuclear
Power Plant.
At the end
of the inspection period,
those findings were discussed
with Mr. S. Spector
and
other members of your staff.
The enclosed
report concludes that overall plant operation
was conducted
safely
and that operators
responded
properly to several
events.
We also note that,
although your initial actions to evaluate plant equipment following the uninten-
tional energizing of the main generator
could have
been
more comprehensive,
you
have initiated actions to improve the thoroughness
of event analyses.
We will
assess
the related
impact on Ginna performance during routine inspections.
No response
to this report is required.
