Ginna Nuclear Power Plant By telephone con'versation on Nay 24, 1983 and letter report dated June 10, 1983, the NRC staff was informed by representatives of Rochester Gas and Electric Corpor ation (RGLE) of (1) problems encountered durtng the pull of a steam generator tube, and (2) the steps taken to "e'nsure that the steam generator integrity was maintained in light of this problem.

The staff has completed its review of the circumstances surrounding the tube pull and steps taken to maintain the steam generator integrity.

Based on our evaluation, we conclude that following the identification of problems encountered during the tube pull, appro-priate actions were taken and adequate inspections conducted to provide reasonable assurance that the integrity of the steam generator has not been compromised.

Our revi;ew is documented in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
