By letters dated February 27.
1985 and March 21, 1985,'the Division of Licensing (DL) staff informed your Corporation of their approval of your applications dated January 16, 1984 and October 4, 1984.
These appli-cations related to a reanalysis of the alternate safe shutdown system and requested exemptions from certain requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix R.
A $150 application fee was remitted by letter dated January 9, 1985, for the October 4. 1984 application pursuant to the June 20, 1984 revision to 10 CFR 170.
Based.on information provided by the DL staff as the result of their final review of your applications, it has been determined that a Class III fee ($4,000), pursuant to the March 23, 1978 regulations, is appro-priate for the January
- 16. 1984 request since the review involved consideration of a single safety issue.
The DL staff is accepting the October 4. 1984 application as containing information which is supplemental to the January 16, 1984 application.
Therefore, a refund of $150 is due your Corporation.
Rather than refund the $160 to your Corporation, we are applying it toward the
$4,000 due for the January 16 request.
Consequently, your Corporation is requested to remit the sum of $3,850 to our office.
~ It has been determined that an exemption pursuant to 10 CFR 170.11(b),
from the fee requirements of the March 23, 1978 regu'lations is authorized by law, and such exemption is otherwise in the public interest and is hereby granted for those portions of the January 16, 1984 request.
