APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation R.
E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-244 License No.
DRP-18 During the inspection conducted on February 6 through March 12,
- 1989, and in ac-cordance with the General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement
- Actions, 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy), the following viola-tion was identified:
Technical Specification 6.8. 1 requires, in part, written procedures shall be implemented for control of maintenance and modifications which can affect safety related equipment.
Administrative Procedure (A)-1406. 1, Installation and Removal of Tem orar Structural
- Features, revision 3, effective August 2, 1988, requires, in part, all scaffolding plank decking shall be wired in place.
Contrary to the above, on February 9,
- 1989, the inspectors discovered scaf-folding in the standby auxiliary feed pump room with plank decking not wired in place as required.
This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement I)
Although 10 CFR 2, section 201, requires you to submit a written statement of ex-planation to this office, no response to this violation is required because cor-rective actions were completed and reviewed by our inspectors prior to completion of the inspection.
