STEAM GENERATOR TUBE PERIPHERY SLEEVING PROGRAM FOR GINNA Your response of October 12, 1988 to our request for additional information on the Steam Generator Periphery Sleeving Program is sufficient for the NRC staff to conclude that your program should provide adequate data on the newly proposed periphery sleeving.

Since you plan to utilize the new process during the March 1989 outage, we request that you keep us advised on the progress and results of the program.

Of particular interest is the Combustion Engineering development for an improved eddy current inspection probe.

Improvements in this area are of considerable interest to the staff.

We would like to discuss this matter in further detail at the 'completion of the demonstration program.
