INSPECTIONS, TESTS, ANALYSES AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA DEMONSTRATION PROJECT UPDATE On February 22, 2017, a tasking memorandum (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17055A534) was issued to develop and implement a comprehensive demonstration of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) processes. The final report (ADAMS Accession No. ML17135A415), issued on June 1, 2017, documents the processes that were evaluated during the demonstration. The final report includes a table of recommendations for enhancing external stakeholder interactions, improving NRC processes and guidance, and establishing an organizational structure and timeliness dashboards that will further increase the NRCs capacity, agility, and decision making when implementing the first-of-a-kind ITAAC closure processes.
Please develop an action plan with deliverables and associated milestones to implement the recommendations in the report by September 29, 2017.
