Me have concluded.

however, that it would be

prudent, should your facility experience more than twenty-five such injections, for you to consider a plant specific analysis for Ginna which would itientify more precisely the additional number of actuations that can be safely accommodated at that facility.

A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed for your information.

Dear Mr. White:

SUBJECT:

INADVERTENT SAFETY INJECTION DURING COOLDOWN (GINNA)

We have completed a generic review on this subject and conclude that no further licensing action is necessary at this time since it is likely that a facility could withstand more than fifty inadvertent ECCS actuations.

We have concluded, however, that it would be

prudent, should your facility experience more than twenty-five such injections, for you to consider a plant specific analysis for Ginna which would identify more precisely the additional number of actuations that can be safely accommodated at that facility.

A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed for your information.

Sincerely, Dennis M. Crutchfield, Ch' Operating Reactors Branch k'5 Division of Licensing
