Response
to IE Bulletin 80-11 Masonry Wall Design All masonry walls have been surveyed at Ginna Station with the exception of the service building.
The service building, which contains administrative offices and shops, is not safety related and contains no safety related systems or components.
The locations of all masonry walls are shown on attached RGaE drawings 33013-971, 972 6 973
( all Revisions
- 0) and the description of the walls is provided in Table I.
In addition to the description, Table I lists safety related and non-safety related attachments, safety related systems and equipment within potential fall area, and the wall usage.
For purposes of this survey the fall area of all walls has been assumed to be equal to the wall height.
All masonry block walls will be re-evaluated to determine their adequacy to perform their intended design function.
The walls will be re-evaluated for the loads, loading combinations, applicable codes and standards and other criteria as identified in the Final Safety Analysis Report.
The priority list for re-evaluation of masonry block walls is contained in Table II.

Control Buildin Walls In addition to the personnel in the control room, almost all safety related controls, power
- supplies, and wiring is located in or passes through this building.

storage tank (RWST),
ECCS pumps (low-head safety injection, high head safety injection, containment spray),
charging
- pumps, and related piping and instrumentation, are located at this level.

Containment Block Walls The "A" feedwater and its standby auxiliary feedwater piping systems in containment, related secondary system instrumentation, as well as cable trays are located in this area.

(The standby auxiliary feedwater
