GENERIC LETTER (GL) 88-14; "INSTRUMENT AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM PROBLEMS AFFECTING SAFETY-RELATED EQUIPMENT" - ST.

LUCIE UNITS 1

AND 2 (TAC,NOS. 71723 AND 71724)

In response to GL 88-14, Florida Power Im Light Company (FP8L) submitted information by letters dated December 27, 1988, March 14, 1989, June 28, 1989, and Hay 31, 1990.

The May 31, 1990 letter certified that all actions required by GL 88-14 are now complete for St. Lucie Units 1 and 2.

The staff has reviewed the submitted information and concludes that St. Lucie Units 1 and 2 meet the requirements of GL 88-14.

Accordingly, we are closing TAC Nos.

71723 and 71724.
