Nay 18, 1990 Docket Nos.
50-335 and 50-389 Nr. J.
H. Goldberg Executive Vice President Florida Power and Light Company Post Office Box 14000 Juno Beach, Florida 33408-0420
Dear Nr. Goldberg:
SUBJECT:
NRC BULLETIN 88-10; NONCONFORMING MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKERS-ST.
LUCIE 1 AND 2 - TAC NOS.
71358 AND 71359 By letters dated April 3, 1989 and Nay 8, 1990, the Florida Power 5 Light Company (FPSL) responded to Bulletin 88-10 for St. Lucie Plant, Units 1 and 2.
In the responses, FPSL confirmed that activities required to address the issue of substandard molded-case circuit breakers discussed in Bulletin 88-10 (with the exception of two items listed on Attachment 1 to the Nay 8, 1990 letter) have been performed.
The remaining two items will be performed in the fall of 1990.
The staff finds this schedule acceptable.
A detailed technical review of the FPSL responses has not been performed;
- however, the issue may be subject to inspection at a later date.
If a subsequent inspection identifies deficiencies in the FP8L actions and responses, this issue will be reopened.-
Presently, we consider this action complete and, accordingly, we are closing TAC Nos.
71358 and 71359.
