ST.
LUCIE REQUALIFICATION EXAMINATION REPORT 335/OL-89-02 The NRC administered examinations during the weeks of November 13 - 27, 1989, to employees of your company who currently hold licenses to operate the St.
Lucie facility.
At the conclusion of the site visit, preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the Examination
- Report, Enclosure 1.
A table summarizing the examination results for each examined individual is provided in Enclosure 2.
Comments made by your training staff concerning the validity of some questions in the written examinations are contained in Enclosure 3.
Copies of the written examinations and answer keys are included in this report as Enclosure 4.
A requalification program evaluation report is included as Enclosure 5.
This evaluation repot t finds that the St.
Lucie requalification program remains satisfactory.
Your attention is invited to information in the examination and evaluation reports which describe our concern over operator performance and exam administration.
These concerns were discussed at a management meeting held at the NRC Region II Office on December 22, 1989.
A Simulator Fidelity Report is provided in this report as Enclosure 6.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and Enclosures 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
Enclosure 2 is exempt from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a) and will not be sent to the Public Document Room.
