FEHA FINAL REPORT - ST.
LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT EMERGENCY EXERCISE OF AUGUST 26, 1987 Enclosed is a
copy of the report. by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on the St.
Lucie Nuclear Plant Emergency Exercise of August 26, 1987.
As indicated in the report, FENA identified no deficiencies;
- however, two areas requiring corrective actions were:
(1) the provision of dosimeters to St.
Lucie County Road Department personnel, and (2) clarification of organizational responsibility for registration at reception centers in Indian River County.
In Section IV of the enclosed report, FERA also identified 14 areas recommended for. improvement.
We encourage you to assist the appropriate organizations in resolving the weaknesses identified by FERA.
Resolution of these items should be completed prior to the next full-scale emergency preparedness exercise.
We also encourage you to work closely with the State and counties in the development of a
scenario for the next full-scale exercise that will effectively test the areas in which the above items were identified.
Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
Sincerely, Dnj???2 J?p??~ +
