Dear Mr. Conway:
SUBJECT:
GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ATWS ITEM 2. 1 (Part 2),
VENDOR INTERFACE PROGRAM - RTS COMPONENTS (TAC NOS.
52883 AND 52884)
Florida Power and Light Company (FP&L) was r equired by Generic Letter 83-28 Item 2.1 (Part 2) to confirm that it has established an interface with either the NSSS vendor or with the vendors of each 'of the components of the Reactor Trip System.
The response was also to confirm 'that this interface program includes periodic communications between FP&L and the vendor(s) and a system of positive feedback which confirms receipt by FP&L of transmittals of tech-nical information.
FP&L responded and our review of the responses, as docu-mented in the enclosed contractor's report (EG&G-NTA-7592), finds FP&L's response to Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2. 1,(Part 2),to be acceptable.
The enclosed Safety Evaluation Report documents, our concurrence 'with the contrac-tor's findings and also finds FP&L's response for this item to be acceptable.
We therefore consider Part 2 of Item 2. 1 to be closed by this action.
Sincerely, 1
