ST LUCIE UNIT 1 SEWAGE TREATMENT R. Freche t te PLANT DISCHARGE FLOW NONCOMPLIANCE On February 24th and February 25, 1987, the eftt.uent discharge flow from the Unit 1 Sewage Treatment Plant exceeded the limit of 17,000 gallons per day. The problem was eventually found to be a toilet with a stuck open flush valve. The toilet was in a rarely used and locked area in the Plant (the Unit 1 RAB First Aid Room), which accounts for the long time taken to locate the cause of the problem.

Once found, the inlet valve was closed and the toilet taken out of service and a Plant Work Order was submitted to repair the flush valve (PWO PXA870580920).

The discharge flow has returned to the normal range to 'be expected for outage conditions. If you have any further questions, please contact Bo Butler at St. Lucie extension 3207 or me.
