Your letter was in response to the staff's Draft Safety Evaluation sent to you on December 17, 1985.
Your disposition of the open items, coupled with the Draft Safety Evaluation, serves as an adequate basis to consider this'icensing issue complete at this.
time.
We note that FP8 L and the staff have on-going work that has a bearing on this subject.
The staff's work deals with the on-going generic review and approval of the Combustion Engineering Owners Group Generic Information and Control Characteristics Review Program (CEN-307) and the upcoming review and approval of the St.
Lucie Plant Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR) Supplemental Summary Report.
Your work deals with tlie development of a DCRDR supplemental summary report which is scheduled to be submitted to the staff by June 30, 1987.
The staff's conclusions on CEN-307 and the St.
Lucie Plant DCRDR Supplemental Summary Report may affect the St.
Lucie Plant Procedures Generation Package.
If this is the case, we wi 11 address this as a separate, plant specific, licensing action at a future date.
