GENERIC LETTER 83-28, Items 4.2. 1 AND 4.2.2, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM FOR REACTOR TRIP BREAKER/MAINTENANCE AND TRENDING By letter dated March 10, 1986, the staff forwarded its safety evaluation on the above subject.
The staff's safety evaluation concluded that the responses were acceptable provided that the licensee confirms that the undervoltage trip (UVT) device roller rivet-armature clearance is measured with the UVT armature down in the energized position.
By letter dated April 14, 1986, you provided additional information.
The staff finds that the response contained in your April 14, 1986 letter to be acceptable, and items 4. 2. 1 and 4. 2. 2 can now be considered completely closed.
