SUBJECT:
DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION ON THE PROCEDURES GENERATION PACKAGE On December 18, 1984 we transmitted a draft safety evaluation that was based on your Procedures Generation Package submittal of October 26, 1983.
You responded to the open items identified in that draft safety evaluation in your letter of April 12, 1985.
The statf has completed its review of the April 1985 submittal and has determined that open items still remain to be resolved.
These items are identified in the enclosed safety evaluation, which has also been designated as a draft.
This activity is a TMI action item and the staff would prefer to defer its closeout until such time as the open items can be resolved and a safety evaluation issued that contains no open items.
An advanced copy of this draft safety evaluation was given to your staff and briefly discussed during my recent visit to the site.
It is requested that you review this draft and address the remaining open items so that the activities under NRC TAC Nos.
44337 and 55343 can be completed.
Your response within 30 days of receipt of this letter is requested.
If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact me at (301) 492-9735.
This request affects fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
Sincerely, 8512200114 851217 PDR ADOCK 05000335 F
