UNDERGROUND CABLE INSULATION 1
In your submittal of July 24, 1984, you requested that the Final Safety Anal'ysis Report requirement contained in Section 8.3.1. 1.9 be deleted.
This would require prior NRC staff approval for any change to the insulating material on underground power cables.
The staff has completed its review of your submittal and has determined that your request is acceptable.
This is based on the commitments made in your sub-mittal as well as referred to in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
This action was completed under NRC-TAC No. 56383 and no further action on your part is required.
