MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1AND2-TRANSMITIAL OF DAM INSPECTION REPORT (CAC NOS. MF5202 AND MF5203)
Dear Mr. Capps:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This report contains the results of an inspection conducted on April 17, 2017, of the Standby Nuclear Service Water Pond (SNSWP) dam at the McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2. Based on observations made during field inspection, review of data submitted by the owner, and discussions with the NRC staff and licensee representatives, FERC found that the SNSWP Dam embankment and appurtenances were in satisfactory condition and adequately maintained.
The information in the report is considered critical energy infrastructure information. Thus the enclosure is considered sensitive security-related information, official use only, and is being withheld from public disclosure.
The enclosure transmitted herewith contains Security-Related Information. When separated from enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled.
