LUCIE PLANT, UNIT,NO. 2 Subsequent to the initiation of1the staff review, several clarifying questions were discussed with members of your staff and the results were made a matter of record in your letter of June 27, 1984.

The barrier is considered structurally adequate to contain the postulated missiles that could be ejected from the transformer and is acceptable.

As a result of:this review, license condition 2.C.9 is closed and no further action-o'n your part is r'equired.

The staff's safety evaluation is enclosed.

Sincerely, The staff has reviewed your subiilittal of February 27, 1984 concerning the design of a miss'ile bar rier for the pressurizer heater transformers.

Your submittal was made in accordance uiith license condition 2.C.9 of the St. Lucie Plant, Unit No.
