Dr. Robert E. Uhrig, Vice President Advanced Systems and Technology Post Office Box 14000 Juno Beach, Florida 33408 Gentlemen:
On April 6, 1983, the Comission issued Operating License NPF-16 (five percent power) for the St. Lucie Plant. Unit 2.
On June 10. 1983, the license was amended to authorize full power (10(C) operation.
As required by 10 CFR 170.21, an operating license fee of $1,024,500 was paid for the issuance of the operating license.
In accordance with Footnote 3 of Section 170.2'l, the costs incurred to issue the St. Lucie operating license have been reviewed and they substantially exceed the maximum fee of $1.024,500 prescr ibed by the Commission regulations.
Since the maximum fee of $1,024,500 for an operating license has been paid, no additional operating license fee is required for St. Lucie 2.
