In our FP&L letter, L-83-130, dated March 9,
The infor-mation provided in that letter was previously reviewed by the NRC and its contractor.
EG&G.
In their review of the documentation, they had found the method used, to derate the modules as unacceptable.
FP&L, on March 10,
- 1983, held a
meeting with members of your staff, EG&G and Combustion Engineering to discuss the frequency"dependent derat-ing method used in the original analytical justification of the CPC and NI modules.
In that
- meeting, a
revised procedu e
to derate the modules was established with the NRC's and EG&G's concurrence.
Attached is FP&L's revised analytical justification of the seismic test
.adequacy of the St. Lucie 2
CPC and NI modules located in the RPS cabinets which utilizes the derating method approved and developed in the March 10, 1983 meeting.
