St. Lucie Unit No.
2 Docket No. 50-389 Compliance With Interim Criteria of NUREG 0654 By letter L-82-516 dated November 24, 1982, Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) provided information regarding compliance with the interim criteria of NUREG 0654.
The letter indicated that prior to installation of the Safety Assessment System in the Unit 2 control room, meteorological data will be accessible from the Unit 2 control room by telephone.
The NRC staff has reviewed the information provided and requires that as an interim measure a hard'copy readout be provided in the Unit 2 control room in lieu of telephone communications.
The parameters required include wind
- speed, wind direction and temperature at the 32'nd 190'et tower elevations.
Therefore, FPL will provide the hard copy readout in the Unit 2 control room.
This modification will consist of feeding signals from the Unit 1 control room meteorological cabinet into a 6-channel recorder in the Unit 2 control room via a telephone line.
This modification will be completed by core load.
