Dear Dr. Uhrig:
RHartfield, HPA BSheron
Subject:
St. t.ucie Plant, Unit 2 FSAR - Request for Additional Information Me have reviewed Amendment tlo. 11 of the St. Lucie 2 FSAR and determined that it does not adequately address the open items in Section 15.10.2 of the SER.
In particular we note:
1.
FP&L has not demonstrated that 110K of design pressure would not be exceeded for'a 0.25 ft feedwater line break viith offsite power available and with the limiting single failure, 2.
FL&L has not confirmed that no single failure exists which would result in exceeding service limit C pressure limits (120$ of design pressure),
and 3.
Fp&L has not justified the time for t6IS (main steam isolation signal) actuation during the above events.
These items were previously identified in a letter from Thomas H. tIovak to you dated September 10, 1982.
Prior to that, we provided the above information to your Bethesda office on September 1, 1982.
Please inform us within seven (7) days after receipt of this letter of the date you plan to submit your responses to the above items.
Contact ter. V. Nerses (301-492-7318),
St. Lucie 2 Project ttanager, if you desire any discussion or clarification of the enclosed report.
