Re:

RII;JPO Docket No. 50-335 IE Bulletin 79-01B g,ep.eA Our response to Items 1, 2, and 3 of the subject Bulletin is enclosed as Phase I of a two-phase effort, as we discussed earlier with your staff and as referenced in our letter of March 4, 1980 (L-80-65).

This report consists of (1) a main report, (2) a Master List, by major

systems, of equipment required for accident mitigation or post-accident monitoring which sees the environment of the accident, and (3) an individual Component Evaluation Sheet for each item of equipment identified in the Master List.

The "Outstanding Items" column of each Component Evaluation Sheet indicates a

"NONE" for each environmental parameter which has been determined to satisfy the St. Lucie Unit 1

FSAR requirement by the available vendor

'ualification test reports.

Outstanding items, i.e., those requiring additional documentation or analyses, are indicated in the final column with a footnote describing the follow-up actions being undertaken.

Each outstanding item will be addressed in our Phase II report due for submittal in two months.

Due to the restraints of the truncated

schedule, there are a number of outstanding items, but we are confident that they will be favorably dispositioned by the Phase II report.

Very truly yours,
